Here in the subtropics we don't see much of autumn, but there are some subtle signs that summer is finally over. The frangipani sheds its leaves (one of the few trees in Brisbane that does), and the fruit of the Taiwanese Rain Tree appears: papery, rose-coloured capsules. Very pretty, but this tree is considered a pest here.
In the street next to ours a Queenslander house is being raised to build living space underneath. Always fascinating to watch:
And I just had to take a photo of this pretty low-set Queenslander cottage with its pink door!
And finally, some birds on a wire. I love the pattern of the crossing lines:

Mooie foto's weer, Linda! Leuk dat je er iets bij vertelt over hoe het daar Down Under gaat met de seizoenen. Dat huis, dat is serieus opgetild om eronder te bouwen... waarom niet een nieuwe bovenverdieping, dat lijkt me veel makkelijker. Schattig huisje met die roze deur. Valt me op dat er veel houten huizen zijn.
